The 2022 Honda Ridgeline continues the upgrades that were added in 2021 and offers drivers a unique experience in a powerful midsize truck with unibody construction. In typical Honda style, the Ridgeline has what drivers like including a capable drivetrain, five-star NHTSA safety rating, and an ergonomic interior.

Honda Ridgeline Performance Specs

With its unibody construction, the 2022 Ridgeline offers a smooth and confident ride despite the powerful 3.5-liter V6. This substantial engine delivers 280 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque. The Honda Ridgeline performance upgrades came in 2021 and continue into the 2022 model year. These upgrades included the V6 engine paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission that delivers zero to 60 in 6.3 seconds.

The Ridgeline comes standard with the i-VMT4 All-Wheel-Drive System along with Intelligent Traction Management with Snow, Sand, and Mud Modes.

Because the Ridgeline is appropriately powered, it delivers a respectable EPA-estimated fuel economy of 18/24 MPG. This fuel economy rating is better than many other pickup trucks with similar cargo capacities and all-wheel drive.

Four Well-Equipped Trims

The 2022 Honda Ridgeline comes in four well-equipped trim levels. The base trim, Sport, comes with cloth seats, LED headlights, and the lay-flat truck bed. It also comes with an 8-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The standard safety features include Collision Mitigation Braking System, Road Departure Mitigation System, Multi-Angle Rearview Camera, and Adaptive Cruise Control.

The mid-level trims include the RTL and RTL-E. Both have leather-trimmed heated front seats, a panoramic one-touch power moonroof, push-button start, and Blind Spot Information System. The RTL-E has Parking Sensors, a truck bed audio system, Blue Ambient Lighting, Automatic High Beams, and Honda Satellite-Linked Navigation.

Honda offers the Black Edition as the top trim. This trim includes Red Ambient Lighting, Black Edition Exterior and Interior Details, and 18-inch Black Alloy Wheels. All trims have 5,000 pounds of towing capacity and 33.9 cubic feet of truck bed cargo volume.

All trims come with Honda Sensing Safety and Driver Assistive Technology, which earned the midsize pickup truck a five-star safety rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety also gave the Ridgeline a Top Safety Pick rating. The Ridgeline is one of a few pickup trucks that includes Adaptive Cruise Control on all trim levels.
