sail-shaped window incorporated into each A-pillar, offers impressive
improvements in visibility. These changes in geometry, along with
Fit's already spacious interior, make for a surprisingly non-cramped
and comfortable ride for such a small car. The Fit's rear backrests
and cushions can be manipulated to create a large, vertical space for
tall items, and all models also have a 60-40-split folding rear seat.
Cruise control and a CD stereo with a USB port and an MP3 jack are both
standard, and optional items include a leather-wrapped steering wheel
and a navigational system. Under the 2012 Fit's
hood, a 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine provides 106 pounds-feet of
torque and 117 horsepower. The Fit comes with a standard, five-speed
transmission, but those who don't like driving stick can choose the
optional, five-speed automatic transmission. All Fits have front wheel
